Wheelthrown porcelain cup with hand-carved and inlaid pattern in color-changing Alexandrite glaze. This cup is a second because of the notch. Perhaps this would make a good paintbrush holder or pencil holder.
The Alexandrite glaze is dichroic, which means it changes color depending on the type of light that hits it. It is purple in daylight and LED light, gray or blue in different fluorescent lighting, and pinkish purple in incandescent light. You can see an example of this glaze on a different pot in different lighting in the last photo.
